Though we do not carry this product line at Healthy Spot, we would like to keep our Healthy Spot family informed, in case you may have purchased this item elsewhere or have friends and family who might be affected.The latest food recall news you should be aware about is from Blue Buffalo Company, Ltd., recalling certain dry dog food because of excess Vitamin D that can affect the health of some dogs. ZiwiPeak – Hunger From Down Under
The first in the series of foods that I feed my dogs is ZiwiPeak. Most people probably have not heard of this company or food. Mark and I were really excited when we first discovered this food 3 years back at a tradeshow. ZiwiPeak is from New Zealand. It is a very unique product, super high in quality, extremely palatable and best of all, you can still scoop and go like kibble.

Since the closing of the Natura deal with P&G earlier this month, we have been facing a lot of questions about what lies ahead. I have been quite open with our position and, as a result, we have been pursued by the manufacturer and the local distributor to continue to sell the lines.
Their approach has been to show us how successful we have been in the past selling these lines and how much potential business we may lose. They have gone as far as offering to fly us out to see the P&G plant in Ohio. They want to show us that P&G is reformed. They want us to believe. They want us to continue to sell their foods.
